THUNDER BAY – Another helicopter unit will be arriving in Thunder Bay Wednesday to continue the search for a missing boater.

The OPP helicopter unit will be conducting an aerial search of the Kaministiquia River Wednesday and Thursday.

The 56-year-old man has been missing since June 14 after not returning to his camp in the evening.

Witnesses last saw him on the Kaministiquia River in the Forbes River Road and Silver Falls Road area.

The man's family later found his boat near the end John Street Road.

Since the disappearance, the OPP Marine Unit has been conducting marine patrols but were unable to find anything due to high water levels and murky conditions.

The man’s identity has still not been released.
