THUNDER BAY – A second COVID-19 case has been reported at St. Martin elementary school in Thunder Bay in as many days.

The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board said it was still investigating whether the two cases were linked in a release issued Tuesday evening.

The board announced a case Monday at the Mary St. West school that impacted a school bus cohort.

The board said Tuesday that parents, guardians and staff connected to the cohort of the second case had been contacted by the board, and would also hear from a public health nurse.

A “thorough disinfection process” is underway at the school, the board said.
