DRYDEN, Ont. -- A second victim involved in an assault at a Dryden trailer park has died.
Dryden OPP says 72-year-old Dorothy Brown succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday. Police say they were called to the Arbour Jade Trailer Park on McGogy Road just before 10 p.m. on March 2, responding to a report of a suspicious person.
Over the course of several hours several other calls were made to police, which resulted in the discovery of four seriously injured people. A male victim was pronounced dead on March 3, found during the course of the investigation.
Justin Desautels, 36, was re-arrested and charged with a second count of second-degree murder. He was already facing a litany of other charges related to the incident, including assaulting police, resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer causing bodily harm, two counts of breaking and entering and committing robbery, attempting to disarm a police officer, attempted murder and drug possession.
The accused murderer will be back in court on March 30 to answer to the new charge.
