THUNDER BAY — Construction work will disrupt traffic on a portion of Arthur Street over the next several days.
City officials said a section of the roadway between Highway 61 and Mountdale Avenue is set for work, beginning Tuesday evening.
The project involves partially removing the existing pavement, and placing two new lifts of asphalt.
The first phase will result in the eastbound traffic lanes being closed, with that work expecting to take two or three days to finish.
The second phase is also expected to take two or three days, and will result in the westbound lanes being closed.
There will be two subsequent phases, taking an additional two days, will again result in the road being partially closed.
City officials said the work will take place between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., and drivers are asked to be cautious when going through the construction zone.
