Section of James Street South will close for construction

City says work, which will take place between Gore and Kingston streets, will take about nine weeks to complete.

THUNDER BAY – A section of James Street South will be closed to traffic for up to nine weeks, beginning on Monday.

According to a city release, construction work on the busy stretch of road will take place between Gore and Kingston streets and includes repairs to storm sewers and a concrete sidewalk.

Traffic heading north and south will be directed to Mountdale Avenue, using Gore and Montreal streets.

Drivers are asked to use caution in the construction zone.
