THUNDER BAY - Motorists are being advised to plan alternative routes if travelling down John Street Road.
The city of Thunder Bay released a statement late Thursday afternoon advising that John Street Road is closed between Mapleward Road and Community Hall Road.
The closure is due to a collapsed culvert near Mapleward Road.
Only local traffic is permitted. Other motorists are advised to plan an alternative route and drive with caution in the area.
There is no word on how long the closure will be in place.
