September shipping numbers up from 2009

After a sluggish start to the year, shipping totals for the Port of Thunder Bay continue to rebound. Latest numbers from the Thunder Bay Port Authority show 540,000 tonnes of cargo moved through the port in September.
After a sluggish start to the year, shipping totals for the Port of Thunder Bay continue to rebound.

Latest numbers from the Thunder Bay Port Authority show 540,000 tonnes of cargo moved through the port in September. That’s up slightly compared to the 525,000 tonnes that came in during the same month last year.

That brings total tonnage for the year to almost 4.43-million, or about 300,000 tonnes less than 2009.
