Several gas stations hike prices

THUNDER BAY – The price of gas has started to skyrocket at some Thunder Bay stations, a long weekend just a day away.

Motorists can expect to pay as much as $1.299 for a litre of gas, with at least five stations upping their price by eight cents a litre.

Several stations are now at $1.249, while more than a dozen have remained at $1.209 or less for a litre of unleaded regular fuel.

The lowest price in the Thunder Bay area is $1.030, which can be found at Mountain View and K&A Variety at Fort William First Nation.

The average gas price in Ontario for a litre of regular unleaded is $1.143.
