THUNDER BAY - Power is back on for more than 3,800 people in the north side of the city, but people in the south side will have to wait a little longer for the lights to come back on.
Several hundred Thunder Bay Hydro customers in the Broadway Ave. and 20th Side Road area are without power due to downed power lines.
Eileen Dias, communications and events co-ordinator with Thunder Bay Hydro, said power should be back on early this afternoon.
“Crews are on site and we expect an estimated time of restoration to be about 1:15 p.m.,” she said.
More than 3,800 customers in the Current River area were without power early this morning, but all outages were restored by 10 a.m.
Dias said all outages reported have been weather related. With winds expected to continue throughout the day, Dias warned to stay away from downed power lines and report them to Thunder Bay Hydro.
