THUNDER BAY -- Five rural schools are closed on Thursday and rural bus routes have been cancelled due to winter weather and road conditions.
Crestview, Gorham and Ware, Kakabeka Falls, Valley Central and Whitefish Valley public schools are all closed. Nor'Westerview, Five Mile and McKenzie remain open, but it's up to parents to get students to class because there won't be busing to the three schools on Thursday.
All other public schools, and all Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board schools are open with bus service within the city. All wheelchair accessible buses are cancelled for the day.
