THUNDER BAY – Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the city of Thunder Bay, extending from late Sunday afternoon and into the evening.
"Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain," the agency warns.
The main threat is from stong wind gusts that could reach 100 km/h, they added.
The weather was expected to clear by around 3 a.m., as of late Sunday afternoon.
