THUNDER BAY - Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the city of Thunder Bay and surrounding region.
The watch was issued just after 1 p.m. on Friday as conditions are favourable to produce severe thunderstorms.
These storms could bring strong wind gusts of 90 km/h and nickel sized hail.
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable to produce storms capable of producing hail, strong winds, or torrential rainfall.
