THUNDER BAY - Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the city of Thunder Bay.
The watch was updated to a warning shortly after 2 p.m. on Thursday as conditions are favourable to produce severe thunderstorms.
These storms could bring strong wind gusts of 90 to 100 kilometres per hour and isolated nickel to ping pong size hail
According to the alert thunderstorms will continue to develop through the mid to late afternoon and increase in coverage as they track eastward across the watch area.
