THUNDER BAY -- A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Thunder Bay.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch Tuesday afternoon, saying conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening.
Severe thunderstorms can produce strong wind gusts up to 110 kilometres an hour, large hail up to four centimetres in diameter and heavy rain.
An isolated tornado is possible.
People are advised to monitor conditions. Severe thunderstorms can produce torrential rainfall, damaging winds, and large hail can result in damage to property and serious injury.
