THUNDER BAY -- Environment Canada has issued severe weather advisories in parts of northern Ontario with storm systems expected to roll through the region.
A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for Thunder Bay late Friday afternoon, warning of the potential for damaging winds and large hail.
Environment Canada also issued tornado warnings for the Atikokan, Shebandowan, Quetico Park, Seine River Village and Mine Centre areas as meteorologists track a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado.
People are urged to take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
