Sex-trade workers at risk

Recent spur of so-called bad date incidents has Thunder Bay Police concerned.

THUNDER BAY – City police want sex-trade victims of so-called bad dates to come forward.

In a release issued on Tuesday, police say they’ve been aware of a number of recent incidents that has them concerned, acknowledging many in the industry are vulnerable and at risk.

“The TBPS is encouraging other possible victims to come forward and report to the police or the Sexual Abuse Centre Thunder Bay,” police spokeswoman Julie Tilbury said in a statement.
