THUNDER BAY - Embattled lawyer Alexander (Sandy) Zaitzeff got some good news in court on Wednesday morning.

Zaitzeff was facing four counts of sexual assault, but when the lone witness failed to appear in court, the charges were discharged when out-of-town Justice David Harris determined there was not enough evidence to find him guilty.

Zaitzeff's lawyer, after the preliminary hearing came to an abrupt end, said his client was "gratified with the result and he looks forward to moving on."

However, his client is still on the legal hot seat.

Zaitzeff is still facing several charges of assault and sexual assault and is scheduled to next be in court on April 26.
