THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board will have a different look for the next four years.

Unofficial results late Monday evening showed that several incumbents went down to defeat.

Newcomer Dina McFarlane was the leading vote-getter, followed by Francis Veneruz.

Other challengers in the mix for the six trustee positions were Loretta Fonso and Lawrence Badanai.

Kathy O'Brien and Eleanor Ashe were the only incumbents in the group of six leading vote-getters.

It was a different story with the Lakehead District Public School board race, where all incumbents but one will retain their seats.

Final unofficial results show that newcomers Sue Doughty-Smith and Ryan Sitch have taken the places of Jack Playford and Karen Wilson.

Playford was seeking re-election, but Wilson opted not to run again.
