SHUNIAH, Ont. -- Shuniah firefighters rushed into action to tackle a recreational trailer ablaze before it spread to a nearby to a nearby garage.
Emergency crews were called to the fire on Lakeshore Drive at about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, where they found a fully involved trailer and venting propane tank.
Shuniah Fire and Emergency Services firefighters successfully knocked the fire down, keeping it from reaching the nearby detached garage. It was declared extinguished at about 8:15 p.m.
There were no reports of injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fourteen Shuniah firefighters in seven fire apparatus responded to the call, as well as provincial police officers.
