THUNDER BAY – The Christmas break came a couple of days early for the Thunder Bay North Stars.

The Stars on Thursday announced a pair of games against the Wisconsin Lumberjacks have been postponed because of weather south of the border.

They’re not the only SIJHL team forced to the sidelines on Friday night.

The Kam River Fighting Walleye were slated to host the Red Lake Miners at the Norwest Arena, but road conditions forced the game’s postponement.

A decision has yet to be made on whether or not games between the two teams scheduled for Saturday and Sunday night will be staged this weekend.
