SHUNIAH – Shuniah Fire and Emergency Services and the OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Lakeshore Drive on Sunday that resulted in a fire shortly after 6 a.m.
Mayor Wendy Landry confirmed that one person was killed in the collision. She offered her thoughts and prayers to the family.
Lakeshore Drive re-opened at 2:15 p.m. in both directions.
The collision occurred at the 700 block near Wild Goose Beach.
