The province's Special Investigations Unit is looking for witnesses to an incident earlier this week after a vehicle fleeing from police was involved in a collision.
The SIU said the incident happened Wednesday afternoon, after a Thunder Bay Police Service officer attempted to stop a driver for a Highway Traffic Act violation in the area of Walsh and Franklin streets.
The vehicle fled, and minutes later was involved in a crash at Mary and Brown streets.
The SIU said the man and woman in the vehicle ran, but were both found and arrested.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries, the SIU added.
The SIU is asking anyone who witnessed the events, including any dash fam footage, to contact the lead investigator.
