THUNDER BAY – The North American Prospects Hockey League has announced that three players apiece from both the Thunder Bay major midget under-18 and minor midget under-16 Kings teams have been named to the NAPHL all-academic teams for the 2015-16 season.
Earning the laurels for the U-18 squad was goaltender Ryan Fanti, defenceman Alex Grant and forward Stefan Lehto-Borich.
Garnering the accolades from the U-16 Kings was netminder Scott Adams, blueliner Thomas Brassard and forward Jett Leishman.
To qualify for the All-NAPHL Academic Team, student-athletes must have achieved certain academic standards during the 2015-16 school year and must have been nominated by a coach.
Each NAPHL club was allowed to recognize a maximum of three players.
The Kings recently completed their first year in the NAPHL.
