Six new COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district

The active case count stands at 11.

THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported six new COVID-19 cases on Monday, including five in the City of Thunder Bay or immediate surrounding area.

The sixth case is in a First Nations community.

Five previously-diagnosed cases were resolved over the weekend, resulting in an active case count of 11.

One district resident is currently receiving treatment in hospital for COVID-19.

Two of the new cases involve travel outside Northwestern Ontario, two are the result of close contact, and two remain under investigation.
