Students at an elementary school fire were evacuated after a small fire was discovered Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to a call from Gron Morgan School around 1 p.m. for a small fire originating in a washroom wastebasket.
Students were evacuated and Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue officials say the students remained outside for no longer than 20 minutes.
The fire was extinguished by staff prior to fire crew arriving.
Firefighters took time to ventilate the remaining smoke and extinguish residue before students were allowed back inside.
