Smoking shelter topples onto parked vehicle (4 photos)

Windy weather leads to unexpected damage to parked car.

THUNDER BAY -- A late blast of wintry-style wind proved unfortunate for a local motorist.

A smoking shelter at a hotel in the Intercity area on Monday morning uprooted from its concrete moorings and crashed down atop a vehicle parked in the adjacent Mario's Bowl parking lot.

The damage to the vehicle's hood appears to be extensive.
