THUNDER BAY -- It's the first unscheduled day off for a number of school children due to the winter weather.
The road conditions have caused a cancellation of all rural bus routes in the Thunder Bay area Thursday, and that also results in the closure of seven schools, including Crestview, Kakabeka Falls, Five Mile, Gorham and Ware, McKenzie, Valley Central and Whitefish Valley are shut-down.
The Nor'Wester View is still open, although without bus service.
The Thunder Bay Christian school has also been shut down for the day.
