THUNDER BAY -- A South Side home sustained heavy fire and water damage following a kitchen fire.
Firefighters with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue say the fire spread from the kitchen to a second floor bathroom. Crews arrived on the scene at the 400 block of Brodie Street North at about 6 p.m. Wednesday and were able to quickly extinguish the flames.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing.
