Speeding leads to impaired arrest

A pickup truck was stopped for doing 122 km/hr on the highway near Balsam Street at around 11:20 p.m. on Monday.

THUNDER BAY — On Monday night, the OPP arrested a driver who was caught on the radar driving over the speed limit. 

A pickup truck was stopped for doing 122 km/hr on the highway near Balsam Street at around 11:20 p.m. in a 90 km/hr zone. 

Police said the driver had been consuming alcohol and the individual was arrested. 

A 30-year-old Thunder Bay resident was charged with impaired driving and was released from custody with a future court date.
