UPSALA, Ont. -- A traffic stop for speeding near Upsala on Highway 17 led to the seizure of about 168,000 contraband cigarettes.
Officers with the Thunder Bay detachment of the OPP made the traffic stop Wednesday just before 8:30 a.m.
After finding the cigarettes, police arrested and charged a 66-year-old Alberta man with possession of unmarked cigarettes for the purpose of sale.
The driver has been released and is expected to appear in court in October.
