Speedy driver nabbed for drinking and driving

An OPP officer on regular patrol near Kenora stopped a vehicle Tuesday heading down an area highway at 157 kilometres-per hour. The OPP officer pulled the vehicle over on Highway 17A. Police say the officer noticed the driver had been drinking.

An OPP officer on regular patrol near Kenora stopped a vehicle Tuesday heading down an area highway at 157 kilometres-per hour.

The OPP officer pulled the vehicle over on Highway 17A.

Police say the officer noticed the driver had been drinking. The driver then failed a roadside test and was arrested.

The officer brought the suspected impaired driver to the Kenora detachment of the OPP.

The 25-year-old man was then charged with impaired driving and street racing.
