THUNDER BAY — A building that originally housed a grocery store may soon be transformed into a sports bar.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is considering an application for a liquor license for the former Quality Market on Golf Links Road near Oliver Road.
A numbered company submitted the application last month.
Quality Market closed its doors in 2012, just two years after it opened.
The Golf Links/Oliver Road intersection already hosts a restaurant, fast-food outlet and coffee shop in the vicinity.
