THUNDER BAY – Another Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board high school has been closed after the board received a second threat in as many days.

St. Ignatius High School is now closed in response to a threat received Tuesday, the board announced shortly before 4:30 p.m.

The school board said it is working closely with the Thunder Bay Police Service on the matter.

The board said it had been notified of the threat late Tuesday afternoon. All after-school activities planned at St. Ignatius are cancelled.

The school will remain closed "until further notice," the board said, making it uncertain whether classes will resume on Wednesday.

The board had closed St. Patrick High School Tuesday after receiving a threat the day before.

St. Patrick was scheduled to reopen Wednesday, after police and board staff conducted a walk-through of the building.
