Thunder Bay Christian School is getting a regulation-size skating rink, and they have the city’s first family of hockey to thank for it.

On Monday school officials plan to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to usher in the new rink, paid for by NHLers Eric, Marc, Jordan and Jared Staal.

"At this time the school children will be allowed onto the ice for their first skate on this new rink," said family friend Karen Breukelman.

Henry and Linda Staal are scheduled to be in attendance representing their sons.
