Stabbing lands woman in hospital

THUNDER BAY – A 34-year-old woman is under arrest after a stabbing incident at the Limbrick Street housing complex.

Police say they received a call at about 3 a.m. on Wednesday about a 20-year-old woman who had been stabbed and arrived to find the victim in need of medical attention.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The subsequent investigation led officers to another residence in the complex, where a suspect was taken into custody.

Larissa Jahnke was charged with assault with a weapon and breach of undertaking. She’s been remanded into custody.
