The man facing numerous charges in connection with a stabbing spree on Oct. 8 remains in the hospital under police supervision.
Eli John, 29, was due in court for a bail hearing Tuesday, but instead had to be linked up with an audio feed from the hospital due to injuries he sustained during the incident.
Four people were stabbed or assaulted at the Andras Court apartment complex. On Tuesday in court a decision was made for John to undergo a 30-day mental health assessment.
That assessment is meant to determine if John can be held criminally responsible for the incident.
The accused now faces 10 counts, including assault with a weapon, threat causing bodily harm, and obstructing a peace officer.
