Local organizers have called for a peaceful demonstration in support of the Standing Rock environmental movement today between 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the intersection of Memorial Avenue and the Harbour Expressway. While the exact number of participants is unknown, it will likely disrupt normal traffic flow in this area.

Thunder Bay Police will be at the scene of the demonstration to ensure public safety.

Traffic will be restricted for the duration of the event to ensure the safety of all those involved. Police will be directing traffic to alternate routes should the intersection need to be closed.

We appreciate the patience of the motoring public. Pedestrian traffic should not be affected.
