UPDATED: Status quo for COVID-19 in Thunder Bay district

The Northwestern Health Unit also reports another day with no new cases

THUNDER BAY — For the sixth consecutive day, no new cases of COVID-19 were reported across the District of Thunder Bay on Tuesday. 

The health unit also reported no change in the status of the two remaining active cases that had been reported on Monday.

The most recent data from area testing shows 0.1% of results were positive for COVID-19.

This was during the week of June 27 to July 3.

The rate for the previous week was 0.3%.

Since the pandemic began, a total of 3,340 district residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

Sixty-four people have died after being infected with the virus.

In the jurisdiction of the Kenora-based Northwestern Health Unit, the number of active cases remains nil.

The NWHU on Tuesday reported another day with no new cases in its service area.
