THUNDER BAY -- A man accused of offering rides to people at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is behind bars.

Thunder Bay Police, in a release issued on Thursday, said the man’s vehicle had been reported to police for theft of gasoline from an Arthur Street business on June 4.

Police said they located the driver and the vehicle on Wednesday and the suspect was taken into custody, where he remains after a Thursday court appearance. He's been charged with theft of gasoline.

Neither the suspect nor the vehicle are connected to recent abduction attempts, said police, who did not name the suspect.
