Students celebrate 100 Days of School with masks and crowns (4 photos)

Celebration a ways for young students to be congratulated for adapting to a new way of learning.

THUNDER BAY – Students across Thunder Bay celebrated 100 days in the new school environment in a variety of ways this week.

It hasn’t always been easy, but students and teachers have made it work, said Grade 1 teacher Sarina Tarasito.

“A celebration was definitely in order especially due to our new learning environments. The Grade 1 class has persevered through their learning and challenges making it to the 100th day of school! We celebrated the day with many games, special prizes, party crowns, cool shades and of course, special treats,” Tarasito said.

“The masks we wore could not hide the smiles or laughs we shared throughout the festivities. It was a super day to be a student and an educator.”

Students at St. Pius X School also took part in the celebration, dressing up as 100-year-olds, as well as participating in a number of counting activities and creating festive crowns and glasses to go with their masks.
