THUNDER BAY -- Students at Vance Chapman Public School are helping to make life easier for the city's feral cat population.
Grade eight students were hard at work Friday building outdoor cat shelters, which will be provided for the use of street cats through the city's "Trap, Neuter, Return" program.
Teacher Shanlee Linton , who also sits on Animal Services' Friends of the Animals Committee, said her students have learned a great deal throughout the process.Linton said nearly 30 cats have already been neutered as part of the Trap, Neuter, Return program.
