Ontario post-secondary students are in line for more financial aid and flexibility on loan repayments under changes to the Ontario Student Assistance Program, reports the Canadian Press.

The changes include 1,000 new graduate scholarships, a new grant for part-time students and more support for married students or those with kids. In addition, the tuition-fee framework is being extended for two years, limiting tuition increases to an average of five per cent annually.

The changes, first promised in the fall economic statement, are expected to assist about 188,000 students.
