GREENSTONE, Ont. – Emergency services join forces on Saturday to help fill the shelves of a local food bank.

Ontario Provincial Police along with members of the Superior North Emergency Medical Service will be collecting food and other items in support of the Greenstone Harvest Centre.

All non-perishable food items such as peanut butter, canned food, cereal, pasta, sauce, baby food/diapers, baking supplies, juice boxes and nut-free snacks will be accepted.

Cash donations will also be accepted.

The event is schedule to take place on Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Pat’s No Frills and Daneff’s Food Market in Geraldton from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the FreshMart in Longlac.

Donations can be dropped off before Dec. 7th at Pat's No Frills, Daneff's Food Market, Kinna-aweya Legal Clinic or Joel's Live Bait in Geraldton, FreshMart in Longlac, as well as the Greenstone OPP Detachment.
