Stunt driving charge laid by OPP

THUNDER BAY – A motorist is facing a stunt driving charge after police observe vehicle travelling more than 100 kilometres an hour above the posted speed limit.

Ontario Provincial Police conducted a traffic stop on Sunday, Aug. 14 on Dawson Road just before 9 p.m.

Officers observed a vehicle travelling westbound along Dawson Road at 184 km/h. The posted maximum speed limit is 70 km/h.

As a result, the 31-year-old, of Gorham Township,  was charged with stunt driving and dangerous operation.

Police want to remind motorists to respect speed limits and be a responsible driver.
