THUNDER BAY — Police remain on the scene as a sudden death investigation continues at a South Cumberland Street apartment building.
Officers were dispatched to Andras Court just before 8:15 a.m. Saturday after a report came in about an injured person.
In a media release Monday afternoon, Thunder Bay Police said they located an adult male at the scene, and that he received treatment from responding emergency services before being taken to hospital.
He subsequently died there from his injuries.
Members of the TBPS major crimes unit and forensic identification unit are involved in the case.
Despite the ongoing police presence, the police service said it is not believed there is any threat to public safety at this time.
