Sudden death investigation in Dryden

The deceased is a 34-year-old woman from New Saugeen First Nation.

DRYDEN, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police and the Dryden Police Service are investigating a sudden death in Dryden.

Officers were called Monday to a residence where members of the Dryden Fire Service were attending to an unconscious woman.

Despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead.

The deceased is a 34-year-old resident of New Saugeen First Nation.

OPP said Wednesday that there is no concern for public safety at this time.

The investigation includes the OPP's Forensic Identification Services, North West Region Crime Unit and Provincial Liaison Team under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Chief Coroner of Ontario.
