THUNDER BAY -- A new addition to the Thunder Bay Gaming scene is quickly climbing the ranks.

Inside Up Games launched their debut board game, called "Summit", at The Gameshelf Wednesday night.

A handful of devoted gamers eagerly lined up to finally get their hands on the game they had pre-ordered.

Summit has been in development for over a year.

Many in the gaming community around town contributed to its production through a Kickstarter campaign and helped in test playing the game.

Now that it's finally available in its professional form, the Summit players were ecstatic to pick up and try out the finished product.

Summit creator Conor McGoey said he wanted to create a game geared toward everyone.

“This was a way I can actually play with my six-year-old and seven-year-old,” McGoey said. “We can play cooperative together or I can play it with my game night buddies and we can play cutthroat and go after each other.”

Summit is described as a tile-laying, card-playing, dice-rolling survival game that can be played solo or with up to six friends.

The game has already sold more than 100 copies, with another 200 available at Chapters and gaming stores across town.

McGoey is also working on a new game called "Vault Assault", slated for release this fall.
