The Superior North EMS is getting a funding boost from the province.
The 4.8 per cent increase amounts to nearly $540,000.
In total, Ontario contributes $11.4 million to Thunder Bay's land ambulance service.
Chief Norm Gale says he's pleased the added funding will cover the provincial share of a new ambulance added last year.
