Police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with three Mac’s robberies.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a masked individual wielding a syringe robbed the stores on North May Street and Simpson Street on March 10, 11 and 12.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers arrested the teenage boy just after noon Wednesday; he was taken into custody without incident.

The Thunder Bay youth has been charged with three counts of robbery with a weapon, three counts of disguise with intent and three counts of breach of probation.

He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Police have now made arrests in six of this year’s eight Mac’s store robberies.

The name of the suspect cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
