Suspect arrested in aggravated assault case

THUNDER BAY — A 41-year-old man is in custody after an assault in a north-side Thunder Bay apartment on Sunday night.

Police were called just before 6 p.m. to the area of Ambrose and Algoma streets to assist a man who was bleeding.

The 46-year-old male victim was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in an altercation.

Officers determined that the incident had taken place in an apartment in the 200 block of Pearl Street.

They arrested the suspect at that location and charged him with aggravated assault.

He was held in custody pending a court appearance on Monday.
